On 26 March, official eTwinningPlus program joining ceremony of Armenia was held in N198 high school. Such topics as eTwinninPlus program, performed works and future prospects were touched upon the meeting.
Director of National Center of Educational Technologies Artak Poghosyan welcomed the representatives of the participating schools, wishing them effective commitment. He underlined that eTwinningPlus is not just a program; “The project is within the frameworks of European Neighborhood Policy, being a component part of the overall state program. The evaluation given to Armenia within European Neighborhood Policy is based also on the activity and efficiency of our schools, as this policy is one of the priorities of RA. I am sure, that the above mentioned program is first of all necessary to our schools and children, being a wonderful opportunity to communicate with European schools, to exchange best practice, to enhance children’s communicative skills, to present our culture and education to European schools, as well as to develop pupils’ and teachers’ skills in foreign languages and ICT usage”, Poghosyan said. He also added that the first results of the eTwinningPlus collaboration can already be seen: currently Armenian schools are integrated into 7 projects. According to A. Poghosyan, it is planned to extend cooperation between Armenian schools and European Education Area.
